Erin Tukua Photography bio picture
  • Welcome!

Belly laughs, first steps, tiny toes, and endless games of peek-a-boo are some of the many reasons why I fell in love with photography. As a parent, you sit back and watch in wonder as your little one discovers the huge world in front of them. I loved watching every second of my boys discovering new things, but I wanted something more, I wanted to capture these simple moments and save them forever.

I fell in love with photography about three years ago, and since then I have been hooked. I feel so lucky to have found something that brings me total and complete joy. I love how a simple photograph can capture so much love, emotion and spirit.

I have three favorite subjects in particular, my twins Brandon and Brody, and our newest addition little Gavin. They provide me with so much inspiration and joy. I feel so lucky to be their Mom. I also have a wonderful husband who has given me so much support over the past few years as I have grown my little hobby into a blooming business. Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me, and I hope to work with you soon!

Everything nice…

I’ve had so so many sweet baby girls in the studio these past few weeks. I’m finding it hard to have time to blog them all since I am doing all of my sneak peeks on facebook now…so I think I’ll just try to do a weekly round up type post.

Here are some of the oh so sweet baby girls that I’ve met recently…

SO wish we lived in California to take advantage of this opportunity. Super cute styling!

A look back at 2011…

Wow, what a year its been! I am so excited for 2012. This past year has brought so many great memories and moments.  I’m excited to improve my business in 2012! The balancing act of being a work at home is very difficult, and really impossible. So this year, I’m making some changes. I’ll be working less days per month. So what that means for you is I’ll be booking up pretty quickly, so be sure to give me enough notice when booking a session. I’m also excited to do more mini-sessions this year. They were a big hit last year, and I’ll be doing them for all the big holidays beginning with Valentines Day coming up in a few weeks. I’ll have more info on all of that soon, but now onto the year in review! by the way, I had such a hard time narrowing down the images for…I was hoping to only have my top 25…but over 65 images later, I knew that was out the window!:)

As I was putting together this post, looking back on all of the sessions I had this past year, I could not help but get a little emotional. I have been lucky enough to be apart of so many special moments this past year. When I look back at these images, I see the love and connection in each and every one of them. I feel so lucky to have been able to capture these moments in time for you, moments that I know mean so much.

Like Mike and Patty anticipating their baby girls arrival, she ended up making an early surprise entrance just  a few days after we shot these…

Or the K family before sweet little L become a big sister…

Like outdoor movie nights filled with lots of popcorn and laughs…

Or the sweet little lips of your newborn baby girl…

The anticipation of meeting your first baby…

and then realizing special bond between and Mommy and daughter…

The sweet delicateness that only a baby girl could have…

Your baby boy’s chubby rolls that he’ll one day outgrow, but you’ll remember for always…

Your little honey bee…

Your everyday happiness wrapped up in one frame…

The little moments you never want to forget…

The sweet, warm connection you feel with the love of your life wrapped around you…

Your baby girl, who is growing up so fast…

Toddling little ones and their excitement about this big world around them…

Your beautiful family captured in this moment…

Your everything…

Your little love…

The baby boy who you love more than you knew was even possible…

Watching your baby turn one…

Capturing the love between a brother and his big sister…

The love they have for their Mommy…

The excitement of becoming a family of three..

Those silly little smiles…

Feeling blessed to be expecting two little miracles…

The love that these little girls bring to your everyday life…

The million little expressions that he makes that you never want to forget…

Her smile…

Her simple and pure love for her mommy…

Her 1st birthday…

Her tiny feet next to yours in the sand…

Finding out and announcing the exciting news…

Her infections laugh…

His Mr.Man face…

Your silly, adorable boys…

Your little man just after learning to walk…

Your last weeks before meet your little boy…

That she’s still the one…

Remembering how tiny those little fingers were…

Having that special glow…

How its the last 1st birthday you’ll celebrate in your house…

Your little cutie pie….(ok, he’s my little cutie pie!):)

All those little hours spent snuggling your little princess…

Watching as they meet their baby sister for the first time…

The love of your life…

Realizing that it really is all you need…

The moment that you waited so long to have…

The little loves that fill my life with joy…

The moment in time when you realize that your family is full of love and so beautifully complete.

Its all these moments that have meant so much to me. I know that they have meant the world to you. So I thank you. I thank you for choosing me to be apart of your beautiful life. For trusting me to capture these important moments in time for you to cherish forever. I can’t wait to see all the beauty that 2012 has to offer!
